Let us organise your wedding in St. Patrick’s Church in Rome. We will look after your flights and accommodation details and will advise you on the documentation and procedures you require in order to prepare for your special wedding in Rome.
For a Catholic Church wedding in Rome you will need to go to your local priest at home in Ireland. He will help you to fill in the paperwork for marrying abroad.
You will be asked to fly to Rome at least 48 hours prior to the wedding. You will meet the priest a few days before in order to prepare for the wedding ceremony.
You can have the choice of having a private wedding ceremony or a group ceremony. Group ceremonies may mean that 2 or 3 couples will be getting married in the church at the same time.

We normally suggest that you spend approximately four – five nights in Rome, this gives you time to get married and attend at a Papal blessing then leave Rome and either head north to the Italian lakes or south to Sorrento for your honeymoon. There are endless choices and the trained staff of Weddings Abroad Heffernan’s Travel will be happy to assist you in making the right decision for you.
